About the Worship Educators Association

Who We Are

  • Full-time, part-time, administrative, and adjunct faculty members at Christian colleges and seminaries teaching in worship studies and ministries.

  • Independent or denomination-affiliated worship trainers, coaches, consultants, and clinicians coming alongside churches locally, regionally, and nationally.

  • Graduate and post-graduate students in worship studies, worship ministry, or related fields.

  • Music missionaries and ethnomusicologists serving in cross-cultural settings.

  • Faculty members at Christian schools advising student worship teams.

  • Music publishers, producers, distributors, and music industry professionals.

Our Mission.

The Worship Educators Association exists to support men and women called to prepare the next generation of worship leaders.

  • Connect. Extend your network of colleagues through conferences, webinars, and other events.

  • Collaborate. Work with your colleagues through WEA-affiliated Groups for grant-funded projects and resources.

  • Curate. Find support and resources for teaching and administering academic programs and training ministries.

  • Communicate. Share your research and resources with the teaching and training community at our events and through the Journal of Worship Ministry and other media channels.

  • Cultivate. Join us in promoting the next generation of scholars, teachers, and consultants, in particular through the Charles E. Fromm Scholarship.

  • Advocate. Promote worship education to the Church and practical theological understanding of worship to the Christian music industry.
